"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7).
I look forward to seeing each of you on April 19th at 1:30. Remember, we are in room 101 this time. It is down stairs. See you there!! Robyn

March Meeting

I am excited about the team coming together for our trip to Kenya in September!!

Here is a summary of our meeting today:

Team Verse: James 1:27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

  • Start getting your support letter ready. You will want to start sending these out by the end of this month. The first $2000 is due the end of June and the last $1500 is due the end of July.
  • Applications and deposit of $200 is due in April.
  • We will be going into London as a team on the way to Kenya. On the way home you can go in on your own or stay at the airport.
  • A blog will be set up to get information to the team. This blog is important to check at least once a week. It will also be updated on the trip so those back home can keep up with the team while we are in Kenya.
  • If you don't have a passport yet, start the process of getting one.
  • We learned 4 new Swahili words: Asante - Thank you, Jambo - How are you, Sana - very (Asante sana would be Thank you Very much) Mazuri - Good. Practice these with other team members.

Our next meeting will be March 22nd at 1:30.
