I am excited about the team coming together for our trip to Kenya in September!!
Here is a summary of our meeting today:
Team Verse: James 1:27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
- Start getting your support letter ready. You will want to start sending these out by the end of this month. The first $2000 is due the end of June and the last $1500 is due the end of July.
- Applications and deposit of $200 is due in April.
- We will be going into London as a team on the way to Kenya. On the way home you can go in on your own or stay at the airport.
- A blog will be set up to get information to the team. This blog is important to check at least once a week. It will also be updated on the trip so those back home can keep up with the team while we are in Kenya.
- If you don't have a passport yet, start the process of getting one.
- We learned 4 new Swahili words: Asante - Thank you, Jambo - How are you, Sana - very (Asante sana would be Thank you Very much) Mazuri - Good. Practice these with other team members.
Our next meeting will be March 22nd at 1:30.
